In 2001, Pursuant was founded in a loft in Dallas by Matt Frazier with a single goal: to help nonprofits raise more money. Early on, we used short-form video to help organizations tell more effective stories and move constituents to action.
Over the next few years, our growing staff moved out of the loft, serving hundreds of clients predominantly through online solutions. In 2007, we realized that our clients would be best served by a company that integrated services from the top of the donor pyramid to the bottom, and across every communication channel.
With that vision, we acquired Charitable Partners in 2008, augmenting our annual fund solutions with a revolutionary mid-level giving model that delivers incredible results.
In 2009, we acquired Viscern, a holding company for RSI Stewardship and Ketchum. Not only did this complete the vision of serving the entire donor pyramid, but it also brought a combined 127 years of experience to an 8-year-old firm. The integration of these companies allows us to create catalytic events, driving users from acquisition up the donor pyramid into larger, lifelong gifts. Finally, in 2010, we acquired KMA Direct Communications, whose direct response fundraising and data analysis experience gave us service offerings across every communication channel.
Ten years later, Pursuant exists to serve the exact same goal as when we began: helping nonprofits raise more money than ever before. As the only firm to serve every donor segment across all communication channels, our clients see the difference in the dramatic fundraising results that help them achieve greater impact.
