Account Manager

The Account Manager is responsible for ensuring flawless, timely, and effective delivery of Pursuant strategy and services, providing world-class communication (both written and verbal) that clarifies, stimulates, and motivates. The Account Manager must be highly committed, organized and capable of balancing multiple tasks and direct Pursuant resources effectively. The Account Manager must possess a curiosity and willingness to learn and grow in this role and possess the ability to present Pursuant ideas, concepts and points of view to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Inside Pursuant:

  • Plans and manages Client workflow throughout the agency from project initiation to project completion and billing
  • Facilitates internal communication and ensures all cross-functional team members understand project parameters and scope of work
  • Keeps team members informed of project developments and issues via regular status meetings and published status reports
  • Proactively identifies and formulates solutions to potential project challenges
  • Organizes all project documentation including strategy briefs, roadmaps, data, production, creative and printed samples
  • Contributes to the development of quality, innovative and creative ideas
  • Leads highly productive meetings internally and with the Client
  • Demonstrates a passion for and knowledge of the industry
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships between all departments
  • Provides clear direction/constructive feedback to all departments

Client Partnership:

  • Advances direct response practices in architected strategies
  • Responsible for managing and executing projects with excellence while working hand and hand with the Account Supervisor or Account Director
  • Focuses on making Pursuant an indispensable partner
  • Presents Pursuant work by skillfully using both written and verbal communication
  • Actively works to fully understand our Client’s business
  • Gains trust, confidence, and admiration of appropriate Client contacts
  • Works toward “must have on my business” client status

Fiscal Responsibility:

  • Closely monitors budget estimate and billing
  • Meets with Finance monthly to reconcile project summaries and provides Client billing and closing direction

Qualifications: 

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Work Experience: Minimum of two years of account management or Client services (agency, direct response marketing or non-profit experience is preferred)
