Andy Goldsmith serves the Pursuant team as Senior Vice President and Creative Director. He and brings an uncommon combination of both for-purpose and for-profit expertise. He leads Pursuant’s creative department with a keen eye for pairing meaningful insights with distinctive storytelling, that moves people to action. Before joining Pursuant, Andy spent a decade at the American Cancer Society. There he was a principal architect of ACS’ widely praised “Official Sponsor of Birthdays” platform that transformed the way ACS engages with new and untapped audiences. His earlier career included stints at independent advertising agencies, including Chemistry and Morrison. Andy’s background as a strategic and creative leader has resulted in wide recognition, including an Effie Award, PRSA Silver Anvil, and numerous other industry awards.
Why do you do what you do?
I’m at my best when I can collaborate (and be playful) with other smart people. It takes a village to make sense of complexity and to have the resilience to turn obstacles into creative solutions. Helping nonprofits “go beyond” and do even more for their mission really speaks to me. Faced with digital transformation and an ever-changing world, our job is to find the simple answers to complex problems.

Tending to one of many hobbies! Road-cycling and playing tennis, traveling (we love France), playing in a band that covers classic rock tunes, shaking my head at the daily news and, above all, enjoying life with my wife. That last one is not a hobby.
